Tom Greenwood is the co-founder and Managing Director of Wholegrain Digital, a sustainability-focused WordPress agency that is a certified B Corp. Tom has led a number of environmental projects in the web design sector including the Sustainable Web Manifesto, the website carbon calculator at WebsiteCarbon.com and authoring the book Sustainable Web Design.
What do you enjoy most about working in WordPress?
Freedom. WordPress offers so much freedom to everyone involved, from the freedom to publish your own content, to design a website just the way you want, to develop new features, to create new businesses, to collaborate with others or to host your site anywhere you want. WordPress sets you free.
What do you love most about your Post Status membership?
There’s a great community of people who are passionate and keen to share. I think this is true of the WordPress community in general and it’s great to see so much energy to move forward together.
What business/web/WordPress advice do you have for others in our industry?
Live and work with integrity. Be true to yourself and have the confidence to follow your own path, even when it is challenging. When you do this, you produce your best work, contribute real value to those around you and serve yourself with a fulfilling life. We need people in business and tech that operate with true integrity, and help lead us all to the positive future that we need and want.
