The WordPress.com REST API now includes improved support for custom taxonomies. This includes a handful of new endpoints and enhancements to existing endpoints. So you can retrieve a single term or list of terms for a site, create or update and a new term, delete it, etc. This appeared to be a popularly requested feature (probably largely from their VIP clients) and I’m happy to see enhancements to the REST API like this one.
