The WordPress Marketing group is looking at doing promotional videos for WordPress, including testimonials and event footage from WordCamps and meetups. The goal would be to make a marketing video for use on the WordCamp US site, other WordPress.org entities, and potentially even for some kind of advertisement.
There’s also a new effort to determine metrics from WordPress Meetup groups. It’s part of the WordPress marketing initiative, and Bridget Willard outlines the specific metrics they hope to find as well as questions about the meetups they hope to be able to answer.
