I love when simple advice just hits the nail on the head. From Jon Hicks — a prolific designer — in an interview with WooThemes:
My motto is always “work hard and be nice to people.” No one is born with the ability, and no one owes you anything. If you want to do something, start small and build it up. Then keep doing it!
Jon just finished up a revamp of the Woo Ninja, Hiro, which he originally designed for them in 2010. He’s also worked on Mailchimp, Shopify, and many others. I really enjoyed this interview he did on the WooThemes blog.
