Good news on the accessibility front. WordPress Accessibility Team announced that “all new or updated code released into WordPress core and bundled themes must conform with the WCAG 2.0 guidelines at level AA”.
In a nutshell what this means is that WordPress is moving beyond “basic” levels of accessibility to levels that are more common the worldwide standard. Lots of work still needs to be done, but props to the Accessibility Team for their constant hard work.
