This is one of the best weeks of the year for you, and you may not know it. You probably have fewer support requests, clients calling, or otherwise demanding forces taking you away from focusing inward.
I encourage each of you to take advantage of this week, not to invest in others (including your clients!), but to invest in yourself and your business. A bit of investment on yourself and your business can pay massive dividends in the new year, as you can charge ahead in 2016 re-focused, replenished, and with some fresh momentum.
Personally, I’m using this time to do some website updates that I’ve let languish, to learn new techniques and technologies I’ve been wanting to learn but not made time for, and to read. On Friday, January 1st, I’m going to make some goals for the new year, and also do some final reporting to get a clear picture of 2015.
I’m sure you can think of a few things you would like to do along these lines as well. And I encourage you to put other things aside, and make time for you. If you don’t have time this week, you certainly won’t in the new year.
